Kroketten Bloggers Event
I was looking forward to it because I looove croquettes! I remember during the two company events I attended in Richmonde Hotel, I ate alot of croquettes, and made a few trips back to the buffet table. That's how I am addicted!
Here's the picture taken from personal album..
Bacon and Cheese Croquettes
Now, Kroketten is here in Manila (in SM Mall of Asia!) and offers this snack for only Php35. Kroketten offers three varieties: Original Kroket, the original oblong shape with ground beef, chicken, and cheese; Kroketballen, by far Filipinos’ most favorite and has three pieces of crunchy potato balls which come with dips; and the miniballen, the bite sized potato balls considered best for sharing. Well, of course, I missed the chance of tasting them.
For those who are wondering, as defined by Wikipedia:
A croquette is a small breadcrumbed fried food roll containing, usually as main ingredients, mashed potatoes or béchamel,[1] and/or ground meat (veal, beef, chicken, or turkey), shellfish, fish, cheese, vegetables, and soaked white bread, egg, onion, spices and herbs, wine, milk, beer or any of the combination thereof, sometimes with a filling, e.g. sauteed onions or mushrooms, boiled eggs (Scotch eggs).[2] The croquette is usually shaped into a cylinder, disk or oval shape and then deep-fried. The croquette (from the French croquer, "to crunch") gained worldwide popularity, both as a delicacy and as a fast food.
