Does your company allow you to use the internet while at work? or use mobile phones and tablets? Well, if you are working as part of the marketing or social media relations team, you have the license to connect to the world wide web. But most of the companies do not allow such. Surprisingly, during the event I attended with Sandy Carter, she shared that applicants' consideration when applying for a job is if the company allows the employees to use the internet while at work.
I personally think that it is fine to be "social" while working, as long you do it in moderation. Sharing viral videos of kissing couples is not work-related - a gentle reminder. It is a perfect venue to collaborate with others, and connect and share.
