I went to the dentist to supposedly have my tooth extracted, but for some weird reason, the anesthesia is not doing its job on me. I had 3 shots, and the last one was for surgery. It is weird. We even conducted an x-ray and confirmed there is no infection. I never had alcohol. I was well-rested (I think). It seems that the my body quickly absorbed and dissolved the chemicals. Or I am just plain stressed.
Maybe I am. But I don't look like one. My skin is not showing it, the same way it was behaving when I was not taking Gloww. A sleepless night (or day) would mean zits and break-outs. But none of them are existent.
I have already finished my boxes of Gloww. Do you remember my initial post about it (you can read it here), and my first month's review? I owe you guys this last review's post, so here I am..

Yeah, everyone is using tab, smart phones and pads - and we can forget about pen and paper. Below are more info about the Jot.

Meeting Bryan Termulo @ Orange Mag 2nd Anniversary
So.. it was Orange Magazine TV's anniversary last Thursday (not last Thursday, two Thursdays ago), and I went to celebrate with him and blogger friends. It is also Bryan Termulo's first online media launch. It was raining hard that night, but I just thought it was blessings from above, and so I found myself inside Moomba.
I remember Moomba was once a place to be seen some 10 years ago. Now, it caters to more matured crowd.

[Guest Post] The Dark Knight Rises (and I missed It!)
Ok.. so I got an invite to watch the Dark Knight Rises care of Ayala Cinemas; but I had to decline because my company (well, not really mine - but the company I work for), is celebrating its Diamond Year. Of course, I chose to celebrate with the Big Blue. Bruce Wayne can understand.
It is good that I have friends from WheninManila community and Cholo was nice enough to cover for me despite short notice. It was actually crazy because he almost missed the movie. My phone was dead and I was not able to get a hold of him and the contact person. Anyway, I am glad he made it, and now, read Cholo Isungga's review about the Dark Knight Rises.
After months long of not being swayed to the districts of Greenbelt, I just had to grab the opportunity to see the caped crusader for his hurrah at Christopher Nolan's epic third installment of his own dark and realistic version of Batman, The Dark Knight Rises.
It was a special screening which was headed by the Ayala Malls Cinemas for The Dark Knight Rises that catered good food and drinks, an hour before the screening itself.

Welcome Dinner at the Lara Djonggrang (Jakarta, Indonesia)
A blog series about my in-country assignment to Makassar for IBM Corporate Service Corp.
Follow along https://www-146.ibm.com/corporateservicecorps/
#ibmcsc #teamindonesia3
It is been a while since I wrote about my assignment in Indonesia. I am back in Manila for more than 3 months, but the memories are fresh like it was just my dream last night. I am looking at some pics this morning and I thought I would write again about this series/assignment. It is timely because our favorite noon-time show is now in Indonesia - Eat Bulaga Indonesia! But yeah, the hosts will be locals and not our favorite TVJ and dabarkads. Just the same it is good news!
It is timely because my friend is also sent for Corporate Service Corp assignment (he is in Kazakhstan now), and seeing his photos with his team makes me miss my team too! AND, the nicest part is, someone from UK sent me interview questions about my assignment in Indonesia. I am so touched because he didn't just sent me interview questions, but also wrote about me! You can read about it here.
Now, this post is about where we left off. I think after my arrival in Hotel Kempinski and a quick tour in Jakarta, we met up with the IBM Indonesia Country Manager. He basically just welcomed us and discussed about the business. I know, it is not everyday that I get to sit down with a country manager of some company, so I felt really privileged to be in the room (I will write more about our interaction with him during my next posts - hopefully that would come soon).
The main hall of Lara Djonggrang
After the meeting, and photo sessions, time to head to Lara Djonggrang. We already knew we were going to this place based on the schedule we received weeks before our departure. I made a little research and the pictures made me so excited! There would be non-stop photo sessions! I was thinking.
On our way to the restaurant, one of the welcoming staff shared with me the legend of Lara Djonggrang. It felt like listening to stories of Maria Makiling. But the story tells us the love and respect for parents.
Entering the place made me feel like I was put on a spell. It is enchanting. The lights are dimmed, and the place is truly exotic. Designs and details everywhere. I didn't know where to look, I lost focus, and completely forgotten about taking pictures. I lived the moment.

Easy Photo Contest from Easy Pha-Max (until July 30th Only!)
Five years ago, I was feeling my best. I could wear anything I want without the fear of having that bulge. The clothes just hang nicely in my body, and I felt health
But now, I have to worry about my angle everytime my pic will be taken. I have to think how many calories I take everytime I eat ice cream, or eat a yummy burger. It is not just about maintaining a figure, but maintaining a healthy body.
I guess it does come with age.
What can I do to maintain "the figure"? It is hard especially if you get invited to events, sometimes food events. It is more difficult to be working in a office situated industrial park surrounded with good restaurants. It is crazy if you have a mom who cooks the best food you would ever tasted.
I can do work-outs, but I am as lazy as a grasshopper. The most I can do is to eat cleansing and detoxifying food. So I eat alot of high-fiber fruits like pineapple and avocado. HOWEVER, these may not always be available in the fridge. Or even in the market.
Then there is Easy Pha-Max. A high-fiber cleansing drink rich with anti-oxidants. I''ve been seeing a lot of posters, and ads about this product; and the desperate person that I am, wants to try this drink.
Five years ago, EPPI started. Now, EPPI turns 5 this July and is still the No. 1 Wheatgrass Brand in the Country, 5 years of keeping Filipinos young, sexy, healthy, and active.

Great Buys of the Week: From the Great Northern Sale
When I was a kid, the term SM City excites me like Disneyland. It was one of the best places to shop, dine, watch movie and enjoy. Does anyone remember the SM City TV ad? I was trying to dig videos on youtube.com but it seems that no one has a copy to share with netizens. Anyway, I remember some few lines..

Food..
Shopping..
Fun..
Movies.. (on TV: people in movie theater wearing 3D glasses, and then a motorcycle pops out from screen.. ala Sadako of The Ring!).
Here at SM. Here at SM. We got it all for you!
It's waiting for you.
LOL. I cannot believe I am singing it!
Anyway, after so many years, and new malls around the metro, I have totally forgotten about SM City. It was even called SM West, or SM North. I knew it as SM City. Then, there is SM The Block and SM Annex. It is confusing, but again, it is just SM City for me. Sometimes I go there to attend events, or meet friends, or just buy something (when it is convenient).
Yesterday, I found myself in SM with busy, excited crowd (from I bet different parts of Metro). Every force headed to the North. It is the Great Northern Sale, don't you remember? It is happening only until today, July 15th!

A (Playboy) Sunglasses Story & Designer Sunglasses SMART Promo
I will tell you a story about my Playboy Sunglasses. This is really touching, and it is worthy of being re-shared in Facebook (like those stories of a lost wallet, and a hero dog. Tehehe). I know the term Playboy may not be associated with an adjective touching.. (or maybe, yes). Anyway..
I will just gonna make it short, so I won't bore you. Sometime last year, we went to Subic with friends and tried the Tree Top Adventure. One of the rides that I tried is the Silver Surfer, and because this ride will suspend you high on the air, I was worried that I will drop my stuff so I asked my friend to keep my Playboy Sunglasses.
We rode different rides, had fun, and went back home to Manila. I got worried that I lost my Playboy Sunglasses. I find it really special because, (I thought), it was limited edition and I got it from Ebay.. I haven't seen this being sold in the market here, so I asked my friend if he got it.

I Tasted Flavors of Asia (in Marriott Cafe)
I have tasted 4 different cuisines in one night. It felt like traveling from Philippines to Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. I have tasted Flavors of Asia in Marriott Hotel last week.
I always love attending Marriott, especially, Marriott Cafe's events because it only means - FOOD PORN! Have you seen my post about the Marriott Lunch Buffet Promo? and the launch of Chocolate Room? Reading those posts makes me want to go to Resorts World NOW!
Anyhow, Marriott Cafe makes it more tempting by inviting chefs from 4 different Asian countries to offer only the best cuisines from their respective countries. Renaissance Kuala Lumpur's Ruhizad Muri, JW Marriott Jakarta's Dadang Wahyudi, Renaissance Riverside Saigon Phan Tien Hoa, and JW Marriott Bangkok Thanatorn Krobsuay brought more than their expertise, but the finest dishes of their countries.

A (Surprise) Visit & Gift (Cheese Top Burger) from KFC
It was a peaceful Sunday for me last weekend. Peaceful because I got to stay at home, watch TV, and just relax (because I chose not to go out, attend events, work from home, or even blog.. I am just too lazy). I was enjoying a show on TV, when my dad suddenly told me there was someone looking for me. And he brought me this..

I went out, and I was looking so unpresentable with my ratty shirts and shorts. Oh hello, the guy introduced himself as the Marketing Manager of KFC. (I know KFC will be sending something, but I was just expecting the usual delivery guy). He was wearing a smile despite the hot weather. I was just glad my dad didn't send him home (or back to the KFC headquarters), he's (dad) a little fierce about guys thinking I were still a little girl. My dad was actually so nice to even shared with him that my brother used to work for KFC.

All Forces to North Next Weekend
I missed shopping! I really do. Even if our office is next to the mall, it is impossible for me to even swing by the stores because of work .. What's worst is that I don't even have spare time to check online shops, and groupon sites.
Weekends are usually spent in the mall (if not in events, or on bed). I usually have my list of to-buy, and to-do's (e.g. battery watch replacement). But my schedule has been as chaotic as my inbox.. I am hoping next week I would have time to literally bring home shopping bags... because..
Tadah!

Be Part of Olympics 2012: Donate Part of Your Shirt
I am sure everyone of us wants to be part of the 2012 Olympics. You don't need to be an athlete to be able to join and be part of the team. All you need to do is to give them a piece of your shirt, and I really mean a piece!
I missed the event launch last Sunday because I came home late from our Sports Fest/Teambuilding.
Ariel invited the public to go to the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall last Sunday, June 24th, for the opportunity to give a piece of their shirt to help create the Philippine flag—a gift to our athletes, to bring with them as they compete in London. The colors are sure to remain vibrant, especially when the athletes wave the flag proudly for all the world to see. Thanks to Ariel Color and Style. Imagine, part of your shirt would be in the Philippine Flag? Awesome!

Kasha - New Online Store
Look what I just discovered! A new local online shop - www.kasha.com.ph! It is an online site which carries clothes from Ensemble, Freeway and Solo.
Kasha derives its name from kasya -fits perfectly. And buying a piece online that really fits is a challenge when doing online shopping (I should know!). How many times have I ordered something online and getting the wrong size? (I never learned my lesson!) - the joys and sorrows of impulse online buying. I got alot of pieces I have never worn stored in my closet.
