Sore. Disabled. Trophy. Mobilympics.
I was feeling sore and "disabled" for two days. This is after I rolled and rumbled with the boys and girls of our team. We hugged, touched, almost kissed, and kissed each other's butts (no joke!). That's how we love each other. And before you think I am engaging into something too .. (Parental Guidance please).. I have to say now that we had our team building last Sunday.
It was not the usual team building, or retreat - which most of the participants cry, or open up their deepest feelings to each other (love/affection or otherwise). It is more of a sports fest - a competition! We call it Mobilympics (from Mobility - which is what our team is called).

Kroketten Bloggers Event, Big Fish Innovation White Party & the Things I Missed This Weekend
I missed some events last weekend, and I was all set to attend them. But if something more important came, you just have to drop everything.. Anyway.. here are the things I missed..
Kroketten Bloggers Event
I was looking forward to it because I looove croquettes! I remember during the two company events I attended in Richmonde Hotel, I ate alot of croquettes, and made a few trips back to the buffet table. That's how I am addicted!
Here's the picture taken from personal album..
Bacon and Cheese Croquettes
Now, Kroketten is here in Manila (in SM Mall of Asia!) and offers this snack for only Php35. Kroketten offers three varieties: Original Kroket, the original oblong shape with ground beef, chicken, and cheese; Kroketballen, by far Filipinos’ most favorite and has three pieces of crunchy potato balls which come with dips; and the miniballen, the bite sized potato balls considered best for sharing. Well, of course, I missed the chance of tasting them.
For those who are wondering, as defined by Wikipedia:
A croquette is a small breadcrumbed fried food roll containing, usually as main ingredients, mashed potatoes or béchamel,[1] and/or ground meat (veal, beef, chicken, or turkey), shellfish, fish, cheese, vegetables, and soaked white bread, egg, onion, spices and herbs, wine, milk, beer or any of the combination thereof, sometimes with a filling, e.g. sauteed onions or mushrooms, boiled eggs (Scotch eggs).[2] The croquette is usually shaped into a cylinder, disk or oval shape and then deep-fried. The croquette (from the French croquer, "to crunch") gained worldwide popularity, both as a delicacy and as a fast food.

Back-to-School Bags and the Bags I Used in School
What kind of bag do you use in the office/school?
I loove bags in whatever type, shape and form (regardless of the brand). I used to change bags everyday, depending on what my outfit would be, but I find it too tiring to transfer all my stuff from one bag to another (and ending up forgetting something - like ID, or house keys).
So I tried to be more clever now, and I carry a big, BIG bag to put all my stuff. I tend to bring a lot of stuff - wallet, business cards, sanitizer, liquid soap, kikay kit, umbrella, and even gift certificate holder. I also tend bring food in the office, so this black Donati bag is just perfect for me.
I actually got it on sale from SM Department Store. I was looking for a bag that I can use for my travel - I want something big, sleek and still stylish. I was surprised with its durability - I can still put my shoes inside, and even used it to carry my Think Pad, and you guess that the material has not chipped off, zippeers are still working, and so are the handles.

Saturday is Big Fish - White Party! Do I need to do introductions?
“Purity. Unity. Seduction. Sensation.” This is the maxim of Bigfish Innovation White. Our Christmas Party last year was themed White Party, also held in World Trade Center. Now, my worry is, I don't have anything new to wear. I need inspiration, but I can always dance to whatever music..
And speaking of music..
Here's the line up..

One Month with Gloww
Busy Bee. That's what I am. I officially went live on my work last month - and I am now handling executives from US going to different parts of Asia. My work requires me to get them to their assignment country smoothly. I also have assignees who are ending their assignments this June, and I need to ensure that their repatriation would be smoothly processed too. I wish I could share with you the end to end process I do but you can just imagine the stress. Add the countless events that I attended. Plus the extra-curricular activities I do in the office, and of course, family hours. I wish I have more than 24 hours in a day. On a normal week, I only get four hours of sleep in a day. You might be imagining that I look like a zombie, but thank God I do not. Probably, it is because of my one-month relationship with Gloww.
I have blogged about how I met Gloww here. I was hesitant to try it at first (like a drug?) but I am glad I did, and now we are on our second month.

Freeway National Artist Collection Series Launch feat Levi Celerio
When I told my friends that I went to the Freeweay National Artist Collection Launch featuring Levi Celerio, they gave me a blank look. They don't know Levi Celerio. I am not sure if I should feel sad because it means I am older than them, or if I should feel sadder because my friends didn't get to witness how great Levi Celerio was. Some actually found meaning to the name and associated him with music. Only a few mentioned the word - leaf.
I remember watching him in Eat Bulaga (noontime show), and I was really amazed! How many people can create such good sound and form music using a leaf? Only the Levi Celerio can do that. Freeway, being the leading local brand which supports nationalism and National Artists gave tribute to a music icon by launching a National Artist Collection Series feat Levi Celerio.
I always love attending Freeway events because the program doesn't just showcases fashion but also talent and cultural awareness. Have you read my previous coverage for the F.Sionil and Manansala collection? When I got the invite for the Levi Celerio launch, I got excited!
The launch happened some two weeks ago (I know, this post is a bit too late, but never too late to pay tribute to a great artist. I kind of misplace my memory card. So that explains). Who cares about traffic and rainy afternoon? Freeway didn't disappoint me that night. Like in any other NACS launches, the program was just entertaining and engaging!

Uniqlo Philippines' Pre-Opening Event: The Store, The Staff and Items to Buy
From Tokyo to Manila! Uniqlo is now in the Philippines. I got to see the whole store before it opens tomorrow, June 15th and even got to buy some nice pieces.
The first time I encountered the store, we were in Beijing, China with some friends. My guy friend spent hours in the store, buying shirts, polos and even pants - while I got bored after making a quick stroll around. All basics and plains. Not my thing, I thought. I was even itching to try the Happy Lemon across and silently praying that they finish soon (my girl friend also bought a lot).
My friend then told me that he saw a shirt with my company logo. Being the loyal employee that I am, I jumped, went to the rack and grab one of the three shirts left. Good thing it was my size. The shirt is under the Corporate Collaboration collection. So I left the store with a paper bag, and got back to Manila owning one piece of Uniqlo shirt. See the shirt here. After a year, Uniqlo finally will open in Manila. I was still thinking, the store will only carry the plains shirts and basic tops, but after last night - I found out there is something more in Uniqlo.

ODM Watch Fashion Styling Event with Male Fashion Blogger David Guison
I love, love watches. I even bought a watch case to keep my watches - so it is easy for me to grab one and pair with my outfit. I mostly go for girly type ones. At one point, I got addicted with bracelet watches with charms. Then, I went crazy over bangle watches. Then, started digging through my mom's jewelry case, and grab some vintage automatic watches to use (think Seiko). I don't actually buy (or receive) expensive watches. Just the good branded ones which are just fit to my lifestyle. The main question is, how do you pair your watches to your outfit?
ODM Watches broke the rule. I think Jeff Paulino (L Time Studio Marketing Manager) agrees that when we were growing up, we thought that watch and clothes should match. During the first ODM Watch Series event that happened the other week, male fashion blogger David Guison shared his styling tips.

Mango-RCBC Bankard VIP Sale Event Happening Tomorrow, June 12th!
I know, I know. I just promised myself that I will stop shopping (online and in physical store). But who can resist a VIP Sale? A Mango VIP Sale?
Yes, a Mango VIP Sale is happening tomorrow, Tuesday June 12th and this exclusive sale event is only for Mango-RCBC Bankard MasterCard cardholders. Thank you to our friends for sending me an invite to this exclusive event. But, I also thought of signing up for the RCBC credit card (so that would make 4 credit cards in my wallet). I know I can still manage it. I have yet to blog how I got a VISA card company to write-off my Php9,000 penalty charges. But if you want good deals, and VIP event invites (such as this), go for special credit card like Mango-RCBC Bankard MasterCard.

Axe Anarchy Raid Event in Eastwood: One Fun Cops-Robbers Chase Event
How does it feel being chased and frisked by stars like Bianca King, Sarah Lahbati, , Gwen Zamora, Megan Young, Nadine Samonte and Ellen Adarna? Add Iwa Moto, Nina Jose, radio jocks - Jinri Park, Andi Manzano and Karen Bordador, don't forget Divine Lee and beauty queen Gwendoline Ruais and all other girls who wore skimpy shorts, white tops and Axe Anarchy for women. That is actually a question I should be asking the 100 hottest men (including Rocco Naccino, Victor Basa, Boys Night Out boys - Sam YG, Slick Rick and Tony Toni, and my other blogger friends and a coworker!). Are you one of the 100 guys who was part of the game? Answer the question then.
Well, I have witnessed it, and it was a riot! An organized riot. I am actually uploading one of the videos of one guy being chased and frisked by a number of girls. They look like bees! Seriously.
Credits and messages usually are at the bottom of the post, but first I want to congratulate Axe Philippines and the team who organized the event and campaign. One awesome event (that made 100 guys' dream come true..). Everything was good, except for the media pass and security issue which I don't want to talk about here because I am over it, and I just had fun, even by watching the "game".
So yeah, it is a game. I know you are excited to read about the event (and even see pictures).. well, let's start.. Going to the Eastwood Mall is an ordinary day for me because that's where I work, but I know it was not an ordinary day yesterday, I saw this and more of this in C5 road. I know it is happening - see my post here.

Going Japanese in Gateway: SumoSam
I never really liked Japanese food, or probably because when I think of Japanese, I only think of sashimi and other raw food. But thinking deeper, I think Japanese food is more like an art (imagine the combination of meat, fruits and vegetables in sushis). Anyway, there are only a few Japanese restaurants that converted me into loving the cuisine - there is one in Makassar, Indonesia (read my blog entry entitled In a Japanese Restaurant with Americans, Brazilian, Indians and Mexican) and the other one is SumoSam. I went to the SumoSam Gateway store opening last week - and yes, I have gone Japanese!
From afar, the store looks relaxing and neat, and who greeted me in entrance was none other than, Marvin Agustin. Well, he didn't actually greeted me and sent me to my seat - the SumoSam staff took care of that. But he was wearing his signature smile that morning. Who wouldn't be smiling, this Sumosam has been expanding everywhere in the Metro.

#NKOTBSB New Kids On the Block x Backstreet Boys Concert: Pictures, Reviews and Regrets
So it is over. The NKOTBSB concert is over. Last night was the last leg of the NKOTBSB concert series, and they said they chose Manila to end the tour. How sweet! It is weird that I am feeling a little sad, disappointed and bitin. I want more! There is nothing to look forward to.
Yeah, another New Kids on the Block post from me. See one I posted before the show here. Let me share some pictures I have taken. There aren't alot - because I chose to live and experience it, than worry about getting good shots.

Excited for New Kids on the Block x BSB Manila Concert Tonight!
I got tons of other things and topics to blog, but I have to put them at the bottom of my list. I just want to write about my excitement for the New Kids On the Block x Backstreet Boys NKOTBSB concert in Manila tonight!
When I told my friends I am watching the show, they were like clueless about who the New Kids on the Block members are. They said they were too young to remember, or they are just pretending they didn't know, because (sadly) some are just too shy to admit their real age!
They would sing New Kids on the Block has a bunch of hits, Chinese food makes me sick!. That's all they can remember - but I do, remember all the songs of NKOTB! I am even listening to their songs now while writing this post! Does anyone remember the NKOTB Cartoon?
My friends call me crazy for paying more than Php9,000 for the VIP tickets. I told them it is in my bucketlist - to watch NKOTB concert. I am even planning of watching their concert once I go to USA. But since they are here in Manila, I am willing to pay for the ticket. So imagine my horror when I saw some groupon sites offering 50% off. I bought the tickets first week of May just to reserve good seats (and I was surprised that in one week, the VIP seats were mostly taken!). I had to beg my friend to join me watch the concert. Most of my friends are not into boybands (so they say).
Here are the New Kids on the Block:
I just cannot believe I am watching the concert tonight! I waited for more than 20 years for them. It was my sisters who got addicted with the band. I remember my sister would even borrow betamax tapes of NKOTB videos and concerts from her High School friend. We would even patiently await for the special NKOTB feature in radio and would even record their songs. We hated it when the DJ would start talking even before the song has finished (we were recording!!). You see we even sent a mail to the fan club, and we got a response letter. Generic one. Something like this. ;)

Model Employee
I have been meaning to blog about it since last week, but schedule had been crazy. How do I start this blog? I'll try with disclaimer - I am not a model. Although I did some shows back in College, I do not want to tag the term to my name. Wherever I go and whenever I meet people, they always ask me if I were a model. I always tell them - yeah, I am a model employee. But I think being a model employee is far more difficult than posing in front of camera (or maybe not).

Amazing people I get to work with
although we work in different teams.
The story started when I received a note from Marketing Team for an invitation to be part of the models pool and photoshoot, for the company's marketing initiatives. I am surprised and glad. They said that they chose "models" from the Top Talent Pool. It means that they want employees who are not just physically model materials, but those who really excel at work. I like that idea - I know how some companies do it - they get models from agencies to pose for their ads, and add a little testimonials beside their faces.
