KPop 2AM Charmed the Teens and the Press in the Philippines

You have not just 2AM but the whole day to catch 2AM today for the last leg of their Manila Tour.

I had the privilege to get invited for the press conference of 2AM in Edsa Shangri-la Hotel yesterday afternoon. I had been wanting to share this post, but I went straight to work - so the thoughts, memories, and interviews were just stored in my gazillion GB brain memory while doing my regular work.

Anyway, I came in few minutes late at the press con but still managed to take pictures of the fans who won in the Meet and Greet Contest. Although I feel a little old to feel giggly at the sight of these 4 Koreans, I have to admit that their looks make me feel like a teenager once again.

Great Buys of the Week: Maxi Dresses at Forever21 in SM Makati

When I found out some of my coworkers were in the US, I felt this sudden excitement to buy anything that is on-sale at Forever21.com. I know I have to save money, yet the Easter Sale was just so tempting (imagine tops at $6 and dresses at $15 - my brain works like a Forex machine!). I thought I am more disciplined now, and I have totally dismissed the idea of shopping online as soon as I have closed the browser.

Or maybe not. Last Tuesday night, I was in Makati to cover a product launch and I saw this big signage screaming, Forever21.., ok, I have to let my friends go so I could check out the stuff and place. With every step, I was successful. I looked around and nothing interests me. Until I see the yellow tags..

BPI (Bank of Philippine Islands) Asset Management Team invited media and big names last April 26th, as it launched another innovative online breakthrough which is dubbed as Investment 3.0. This is to mark the celebration of the company's 160th anniversary held in Manila Peninsula Hotel, Makati.

KPOP, Who's Up?! It's 2AM in Manila! (April 28 to 30)

The last time I had gone ga-ga over a group or boy band was some years ago - hail to New Kids On the Block! Until rockers and solo artists envade the mainstream and walls of girls' rooms.

Different music came playing on the radio, then came KPop which I had been introduced to when I started teaching English Language to Koreans. Their sleek dictionaries are loaded with playlists of KPop music. Although I feel a little too old to even enjoy and stomp my feet to the tune of KPop music, I have to admit that at certain times, I do enjoy listening to them despite that I cannot understand most of the lyrics.

I am sure the fans of KPop would soon come alive as Universal Music Philippines brings 2AM in Manila.

2AM consists of Seulong, Changmin, Jo Kwon and Jinwoon.

My Thoughts on Branding Through Blog Design/Template

I have been wanting to update my blog design and template but something is telling me that I should not. I know how it feels whenever I would visit my favorite blog site and as Google Chrome loads its template, header and the whole page, I know I got to the right site. I know the feel of the page, know where to point my mouse to read more about the article, to key in my comments and click the ads (if I want to).

Julien Drolon is a man with fair complexion, pointed nose and beautiful eyes - just by looking at him, you would know that he is not from Luzon, Visayas, or Mindanao - he is not a Filipino, but he sings song in tribute to our country. Isn't that amazing and touching?

I Need Change! If Only the Nimbus Two Thousand Can Save the Day!

When I've read the Harry Potter book and the Nimbus Two Thousand Broom was first introduced - I wonder if that same broom can do wonders in keeping the house clean, minus the flying dust with every sweep!

Eventhough I am not yet a mommy, or housewife, I have already experienced the dark sides of cleaning the house and sweeping the floor - regardless if I am using the walis tingting or tambo - and it doesn't matter if it has traveled 8 hours from Baguio.

BDO Online Banking: How to Pay Your Credit Card Bills Online?

I am updating this post to show the updated web version of the online banking site as I see a lot of hits for this post. Just to make it more useful for the readers - updated on 4/25/2012

I received a note last week from our HR team advising us that BDO would be doing system upgrade this Holy Week - which means, we wouldn't be able to transact through ATM (no withdrawals), and even access the BDO online banking.

I was able to talk to our neighbor who works in BDO and asked if the system is already up today, and yes it is! I was worried about my credit card bills, so I logged in at www.bdo.com.ph to pay my BDO credit card bill.
